Even the biggest fans of the series have wondered where was Vampire Diariesfilmed. After filming the pilot episode in Vancouver, British Columbia, The Vampire Diaries moved the entire production to Covington, Georgia, where most of the series was filmed as the fictional Mystic Falls. Some Vampire Diaries filming locations can also be found outside of Georgia, though the show was rarely shot outside the state.
