Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy will team up once again for their next film, following the confirmation of a new deal between Reynolds' production company, Maximum Effort, and Paramount Pictures. The fresh first-look deal, which runs until December 2026, includes yet-to-be-announced titles. The agreement also confirmed that Reynolds and Levy's upcoming film will be called Boy Band, a boy band reunion film reminiscent of the late '90s and early 2000s craze.
This collaboration follows their previous work on Free Guy and The Adam Project. They are also working on an untitled comedy heist movie for Netflix, resembling Ocean's Eleven.
Reynolds' renewed deal with Paramount comes six years after the establishment of Maximum Effort, and he expressed his excitement for the continued partnership.
The third installment of the Deadpool franchise is set to premiere in 2024 and will feature celebrity cameos rumored to include Taylor Swift, Halle Berry, and Taron Egerton. The film's first trailer is expected to debut during Super Bowl LVIII on February 11.
