He explained that he wanted to support them during their formative years as they transition into young adulthood. Haven emphasized that he set up his life in a way that allows him to be present for any situation his sister or her children may face. He expressed his desire to be in their presence whenever he gets the opportunity.

Jolie and Pitt, who were together for 12 years, announced their divorce in 2016. Reports of an altercation between the two during a private jet flight with their children emerged following the split. Pitt later admitted to raising his voice but denied any physical harm. Custody arrangements for Jolie and Pitt's minor children have yet to be resolved, but they were officially declared single in 2019.
