It seems that Xander might anger Thomas Forrester enough to put his life in jeopardy, just like Thomas did with Emma Barber. Xander had recently returned to London after being fired from Forrester Creations alongside Zoe Buckingham. His main mission was to expose Thomas for keeping the secret that baby Phoebe was actually Beth Spencer, who Steffy Forrester had adopted.

Emma, who was aware of the truth, intended to inform Hope Logan, whom Thomas was obsessed with at the time. Tragically, Emma lost her life in a car accident involving Thomas, who gloated over the incident and threatened Xander. Xander believes he possesses evidence of Emma's murder, a revelation he shares with John "Finn" Finnegan.

Finn is already concerned about Thomas and his potential dangerous tendencies, based on what he has discovered about his past.
