The Bold and the Beautiful actor Darin Brooks has addressed the confusion surrounding his return to the show. Previously, Brooks had announced that he was leaving the popular CBS soap opera, but recently surprised viewers by making a brief comeback. However, he clarifies that his return is only temporary and he is not back on contract.

Brooks explained, "So far, that’s kind of the extent of it. It is what it is.

You know, I’ve been in this business for a long time and know soaps and I know things change and stories move and everything just kind of changes sometimes. I was there for 10 years, you know, and it’s like my second family. And I’ll always remember and never forget all the stuff that I experienced there. [Executive Producer/Head Writer] Brad Bell and the family and everybody just sort of created an incredible past 10 years for me.
