Angelina Jolie's brother, James Haven, has spoken about his protective nature towards his sister and her children during her divorce from Brad Pitt. In an interview on Jessica Entner's podcast, James revealed that he changed his life to be there for Angelina during her time of need. He said that seeing her personal life play out in the public eye made him realize that he had to help her. James explained that his priority was to protect Angelina and her children, his nieces and nephews, and he structured his life so that he could be present and support them through any situation.

He emphasized the importance of being there for the children during their formative years and said he wanted to be in their presence whenever possible.

Angelina and Brad are parents to six children - Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. They were together for 12 years before announcing their divorce in 2016. Following their breakup, reports emerged of an explosive incident on a private jet in 2016, during which Angelina accused Brad of physical and verbal abuse.
