TriStar Pictures’ “Running With Scissors” is still plan A for Plan B. Golden Globe winner Ryan Murphy’s adaptation of Augusten Burroughs’ bestselling memoir is set to start production March 7 in Los Angeles.

Toplined by fellow Globe winner Annette Bening, the cast includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Brian Cox and Joseph Cross, with Evan Rachel Wood and Joseph Fiennes in negotiations to join the lineup.

Daily Variety, Dec. 15), but the recent announcements surrounding Plan B principals Brad Grey, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt called into question the future of the shingle’s projects.

Grey, Pitt, Aniston, Murphy and Plan B president Dede Gardner will produce the pic, which recounts a boy’s bizarre childhood growing up with a bipolar and monstrously selfish mother.
