Margot Robbie and her husband, Tom Ackerley, were filled with joy as they enjoyed a day out with their enthusiastic fans. The 33-year-old Barbie actress and the British film producer were photographed leaving Indiana Cottesloe Beach, a restaurant in sunny Perth, Australia. Robbie, looking chic in a white button-down shirt and stylish sunglasses, couldn't hide her smile as she spotted a group of well-wishers with cameras. She happily posed for selfies with the excited fans before heading to their waiting car.
Ackerley, dressed in a blue-green short-sleeved button-down shirt, sported a shirt that read Papa Salt.
This gin brand, created by the couple along with friends Josey McNamara, Regan Riskas, and Charlie Maas, was made and launched in Byron Bay, Australia. Papa Salt is described on its website as an "easy-drinking gin made for sharing," perfect for leisurely and relaxing days.
Robbie expressed the importance of friendship in their business venture while speaking to Marie Claire Australia in October. As co-founders, they prioritized having fun, and if it ever stopped being enjoyable, they would stop.
Their collaboration extends beyond Papa Salt, as they have produced successful films such as I, Tonya, Birds of Prey, Promising Young Woman, and Barbie under their LA-based production company, LuckyChap Entertainment.
Furthermore, Robbie is not only a producer but also the star of the highly successful Barbie film, for which she is expected to earn $50 million. The live-action adaptation, directed and co-written by Greta Gerwig, has become the highest-grossing film of 2023 and Warner Bros.' highest-ever earner.
Robbie and Ackerley's relationship began on the set of Suite Française in 2013, where Ackerley worked as an assistant director.
They tied the knot in a private ceremony on Australia's Gold Coast in 2016. Although they maintain a private personal life, they made a public appearance together at the pink carpet premiere of Barbie in July. Additionally, they were seen enjoying the waters of the Greek island of Sifnos in August.
Looking ahead, Robbie will produce and star in an upcoming Ocean's 11 film, set in the '60s, alongside her Barbie co-star, Ryan Gosling.
