Let's keep the Barbie vibes going and continue the party. Margot Robbie continued to embody the Superstar Barbie aesthetic as she changed into a black party dress for the Golden Globes 2024 afterparty in Los Angeles on Sunday. Similar to the 50th-anniversary edition of the 1977 doll, which included both a bright pink and black version of a glamorous evening gown, the 33-year-old "Barbie" star donned a black iteration of the Armani Privé dress she wore for the awards show to attend the star-studded gathering.
Arriving at Chateau Marmont in her sequined black gown, which featured the same deep V front and swiss-dotted tulle stole as her red carpet look, Robbie looked stunning.
The "Suicide Squad" star, known for recreating iconic Barbie looks during the film's press tour, complemented her party attire with black ankle-strap heels and a black clutch. She wore her hair down in the same loose style she sported for the awards show. Robbie had previously embraced the Superstar Barbie aesthetic on the red carpet, and she continued to channel the doll's iconic looks with her accessories.
She adorned herself with $3 million worth of jewels, including a pair of 30-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond studs and a natural vivid pink diamond ring.
The outfit also brought back memories of her Day-to-Night Barbie look, as she swapped out a hot pink skirt suit for a fabulous fuchsia dress, just like the 1980s doll, during the Seoul premiere of "Barbie." While Robbie did not receive the Best Actress award for her leading role in Greta Gerwig's hit film, it was still a momentous night for the "Barbie" cast.
Robbie, who also served as a producer on the movie, celebrated the first-ever Cinematic and Box Office Achievement Award won by "Barbie," dedicating the honor to all moviegoers around the world. Additionally, Billie Eilish, who sported a distinctly anti-Barbie look, won Best Song for "What Was I Made For" from the film's buzzworthy soundtrack.
As awards season is still in its early stages, it seems there is more "Barbie" fun to come.
